  • The Buyer serves as the vital link between engineering, commercial, and supplier worlds ensuring every procurement decision supports both project excellence and client satisfaction - on time and within budget.
  • The Buyer is the driving force for early procurement involvement, ensuring that every project benefits from strategic sourcing and contract management from day one.
  • The Buyer translates ambitious client requirements and business targets into actionable procurement strategies that drive project success.
  • The Buyer proactively identifies risks and opportunities, steering the project through uncertainty with agility, foresight, and decisive action.
  • The Buyer leverages the contract management expertise to negotiate and finalize contracts rapidly, even under demanding time constraints, without compromising on quality or compliance
  • The Buyer leads the setup and management of framework agreements, anticipating business needs and securing long-term value for Tractebel and its clients.
  • The Buyer ensures adherence to policies and processes, despite the need for agility in time pressured and demanding operating environments.



Transform Ambition into Reality: Translate ambitious client requirements and business targets into actionable procurement strategies that drive project success:

 

  • Drive Early Procurement Involvement: Engage proactively from the pre-sales phase through to project execution, ensuring procurement strategies are embedded early to maximize project value and client satisfaction.
  • Define the procurement strategy for project during the pre-sales phase (Business Development stage) and contribute to optimizing the procurement share of the offer.
  • Challenge and Refine Business Needs: Lead the development of comprehensive Project Procurement Plans, rigorously challenging requirements to enhance Tractebel’s competitive advantage.
  • Lead and Oversee Calls for Tenders: Take full responsibility for preparing, launching, and managing calls for tenders, ensuring a transparent, competitive, and compliant process that results in the selection of suppliers best suited to project requirements.
  • Lead Negotiations and Contracting: Develop negotiation tactics with the project team, oversee tenders, and drive rapid, high-quality contract finalization in partnership with legal and project stakeholders.
  • Master Contract Management: Demonstrate strong contract management skills by understanding the mechanisms and requirements of client contracts, and effectively translating these into supplier contracts to ensure Tractebel’s interests are fully protected throughout project execution in coordination with legal department.

Profil recherché

  • BAC+5 with Procurement and/or Contract Management specialization
  • 5-10 years Procurement Experience within a similar industry sector and in Project procurement
  • Experience in contract and claim management.
  • Experience in .FIDIC or NEC Contracts will be highly appreciated
  • Excellent analytical skills with a sound judgement and practical approach to problem solving
  • Strong ability to develop partnership & relationship with the project teams
  • Influencing business and people
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Results oriented
  • Experience in a transverse, geographical & multi-cultural environment
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, and ideally also in French
