Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer

The opportunity

Our client operates in an industrial process environment and is investing in multidisciplinary CAPEX projects. As Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer, you will provide technical leadership from concept and engineering through construction, commissioning and handover. You will help deliver safe, reliable, maintainable and constructible installations while coordinating disciplines, partners and technical decisions.

What you'll do

• Lead technical scope, design philosophy and battery limits across CAPEX projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, with a focus on Mechanical & Piping.
• Review designs, specifications, P&IDs, layouts, piping routes and isometrics.
• Direct and challenge EPCm partners, suppliers and contractors.
• Support Mechanical & Piping activities through fabrication, installation, commissioning and handover.

What you bring

• A technical master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Extensive engineering experience in an industrial or process environment.
• Strong Mechanical & Piping engineering expertise.
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary CAPEX projects from concept to handover.
• Knowledge of PED, ATEX and EN 13480, plus VCA-VOL certification or willingness to obtain it before starting.

Useful, but not essential: experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D.
