What you'll do
Key Responsibilities
A) Piping Stress Analysis
Perform stress and flexibility analyses for industrial piping systems.
- Apply standards including:
- ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.8
- EN 13480
- Evaluate thermal expansion, sustained loads, occasional loads, seismic effects, and wind loads.
- Analyse nozzle loads for pumps, vessels, heat exchangers and rotating equipment (API 610, API 661).
- Design and validate pipe supports: rigid, springs, dynamic supports.
- Perform Piping stress analysis using CAESAR II.
B) Steel Structure & Support Engineering
- Design and verify steel structures, pipe racks, platforms, and frames according to:
- EN 1990 / EN 1991 / EN 1993 (Eurocodes)
- EN 13445 (unfired pressure vessels)
- Create and interpret FEM models.
- Perform load combinations, stability checks, deflection analysis, and buckling verification.
- Perform Steel Structures Stress analysis using SCIA and Robot Structural Analysis.
C) Deliverables
- Stress reports
- Flexibility calculation notes
- Pipe support design documents
- Steel structure calculation notes
- FEM analysis reports
- Load plans
- Full documentation in line with PED and client specifications
D) Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with piping designers, drafters, and project managers.
- Participate in design reviews and interdisciplinary technical meetings.
- Coordinate with vendors, engineering partners, and client engineering teams.
- Ensure deliverables meet deadlines, quality requirements, and safety standards.
Who we're looking for
Required Skills & Qualifications
A) Technical Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in piping stress or structural mechanics.
- Proficiency with:
- CAESAR II
- Robot Structural Analysis
- SCIA
- Strong knowledge of applicable standards:
- ASME B31.1 / B31.3 / B31.8
- EN 13480 / EN 13445
- Eurocodes EN 1990–1993
- API 610, API 661 and relevant API norms
- Seismic and wind engineering principles
- PED compliance
B) Language Requirements
- Fluent English (required)
- French (nice to have)
