What you'll do

For a growing and globally active technology company focused on protecting the ecosystem, we are seeking a motivated Project Engineer - Electrical to strengthen the team in Belgium. The company operates in water technology and offers an innovative work environment with advanced technologies.

 

• Designing electrical systems and calculating the required electrical capacities for projects.
  
• Selecting appropriate instrumentation and equipment for project execution, both during the design phase and construction.
  
• Assisting in the preparation of feasibility studies and cost estimates during the pre-sales phase of projects.
  
• Evaluating and negotiating supplier and subcontractor quotes regarding electrical designs and installations.
  
• Reviewing electrical drawings from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with design requirements.
  
• Overseeing the execution of electrical works, collaborating with project managers, clients, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
  
• Working closely with the engineering team and guiding a team of designers for detailed electrical drawings and documentation.
  
• Supporting the startup and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring the necessary as-built documentation is provided.
  
• Preparing tender documents related to electrical aspects and assisting the procurement team.
  
• Striving for cost optimization by selecting cost-efficient components and systems.

Who we're looking for

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
  
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  
• Strong knowledge of electrical design techniques and instrumentation.
  
• Extensive expertise in electrical systems and materials.
  
• The ability to collaborate with and understand mechanical designs.
  
• High proficiency in regulations and electrical calculations.
  
• An analytical mindset, detail-oriented, and quality-driven.
  
• A team player with a pragmatic approach, capable of working under pressure.
  
• Willingness to travel.
