Construction & Electrical Lead

What you'll do

We are seeking an experienced and talented Electrical Lead/ Package Construction Owner to lead all aspects of the electrical package for a high-profile Mission Critical Data Center construction project in the Mons. 

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with significant experience in managing the electrical discipline in the execution of large-scale Mission Critical / Data Center construction projects throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring delivery to the highest standards while maintaining compliance with stringent industry requirements and Belgian regulatory standards.



Key responsibilities: 

• Take ownership of the Electrical Discipline working as part of a multi-disciplinary project delivery team
• Support client starting from tender process with the General Contractor (GC) and Long Lead Items (LLI) and manage GC throughout the project
• Review and monitor detailed design from the GC and ensure that client requirements and building permit design are met
• Monitor and inspect electrical installation in accordance with PM Group Quality System and National, International & site-specific standards
• Identify and evaluate MCC’s/Electrical installations, integrity and efficiency improvements
• Scope review on submitted tenders from GC and vendors until contract completion
• Project execution will focus on safety, schedule, and cost management adherence while complying with good engineering practices, company policies and all applicable regulations and codes
• Strict adherence to safe working practices as set out in the safety statement and other company safety rules
• Interface with client representatives, regulatory bodies, and local authorities
• Identify and mitigate technical risks for all electrical works
• Manage electrical budget allocation and cost control measures
• Deliver electrical milestones in line with overall project timeline

Who we're looking for

• Ideally Dipl. Ing. or min. BSc Degree in Electronic or Electrical engineering or technical/vocational equivalent
• 10+ years’ experience in delivering Electrical Mission Critical / Data Center projects
• Experience in Digital Project Execution is an advantage
• Ability to read, understand and fault-find: Electrical schematics/systems, Instrument Loop Drawings/Panel wiring drawings during FATs or on-site commissioning
• Knowledge and Experience of Hazardous areas and ATEX requirements would be advantageous
• Excellent communication & organization skills with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels from project teams to site leadership team
• Strong computer MS Office skills
• Experience of Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) an advantage.
• Professional working proficiency in English
